Splish splash, doctormarmalade has a new little game to play! Its called float… and you don’t do much floating… lots of jumping… and sinking…

And there is a lot of fun. The three gametypes are fast paced but very, very simple. There’s the “get all the stars onscreen in the fastest time”(sprint), The “Get all the stars while you avoid the mines(arcade), and my personal favorite, countdown. Countdown got competitive on the leaderboards… very competitive. I am on the all-time highscore list (Woo-hoo!) and I would be lying to you if I didn’t say I had a blast getting it.

The gameplay is all about momentum going up and keeping it going down. Hold down when you stop going up, and up when you stop going down. Adjust horizontal location and you will have them stars within your grasp. I would like to take this time to mention how amazingly the highscore work with the game. They make everything faster paced… like you have a big goal. Well, when I review simple games they normally don’t get very long reviews. So…

9/10. So…spiky!

7/10. Jump up, star get, sink down, star get, mine avoid, star get.

9/10. Real jazzy music… save the mute button.

7/10. Catch the stars as you rise above and sink underwater! Not too exciting, but it does have originality points.

8/10. Arrow keys.

My highscores: sprint: 10.82s Countdown:128 stars arcade: 88 starsT_T

Cosmic Crush

Ever have that desire to absorb other planets into yourself to gain mass? NO? I should really see a shrink. That and keep playing this game. Cosmic Crush is an explory-type game where you ingest other planets for your own selfish need. Avoid the other bigger planets or your done for. They use their gravity to take you in. Don’t let it, or the entire damn level will restart. Going back when you are bigger and absorbing the planets that impeded your progress many times before is a satisfying act. The survival mode isn’t the reason I like the game. The level mode is where its at. Gradually gaining mass and transforming into different kinds of planets is the name of the game. Fun, but frustrating. Traveling around is often too dangerous because you cannot predict as to were the bigger planets with their fancy gravitational pulls are located.

There isn’t very much to the game, but you will extract some fun from it. The lack of music hurts the score, but the crisp graphics help it. The art is respectable and the gameplay is easy to learn. It is, actually, rather difficult to get to a higher level in level mode.

9/10 Crisp.

7/10 not very fluid

5/10 no music, decent sound effects

9/10 float around and gather

7/10 float around with the arrow keys

float, float, flooaaat…
